It’s been a good year for the group that on Oct. 6 begins a tour to England and Ireland, then performs across Canada, wrapping up on Dec. 2 at Halifax’s Marquee Club.

The tour in support of The Coast Is Clear, means the group won’t be able to be in Liverpool, but Nova Scotia fans can also catch In-Flight Safety at Keithsfest at Dartmouth’s Alderney Landing on Oct. 5 where they’ll perform with Joel Plaskett.

Music industry nominations were also announced. Publicist/manager Lynn Horne received four nominations, and Anne Oakley, Sonic Entertainment Group and Musicstop received three nominations each.

Horne was nominated for manager of the year, industry professional, publicist and for company of the year for Lynn Horne Marketing & Media Relations.

Oakley was nominated for volunteer, industry professional and publicist. Musicstop was nominated for corporate sponsor, company and production company and Sonic Entertainment received nominations for company, recording studio and publicist for Wendy Phillips.

Tickets go on sale on Monday at The Astor Theatre box office, 354-5250.
