It's
bluegrass time in Hants
The first Kempt Shore Acoustic Maritime Music Festival
will be held Friday to Sunday at Peterson's Festival Campground
in Kempt Shore, 5701 Hwy 215, Hants County, one hour from
Halifax or Truro, a half hour from Windsor.
The
lineup includes J.P. Cormier, Terry Kelly, Charlie A'Court,
RyLee Madison, The Elliotts, Grassfire and Wayne Burke
with emcees Duane Lowe from Global TV, John Simms and
Jim Frame.
This
family festival features at least three stage show performances
by each artist, workshops, a songwriters circle and nightly
jams.
The
Saturday afternoon songwriters circle will include Kelly,
a seven-time ECMA award winner and Juno nominee; Cormier,
who has just released a tribute album to Gordon Lightfoot;
Madison, just back from recording in Nashville; A'Court
returning to Nova Scotia after a successful tour in Germany
and Burke, the man who penned the tribute song to the
four fallen RCMP officers. >>
