CORMIER to perform on ECMA Gala Award Show

– The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) yesterday
announced the performers for this year’s ECMA
Gala Award Show, to be broadcast live on CBC Television,
Monday February 27 at 8:00pm (8:30NT). This year’s
gala event, hosted by the Trailer Park Boys,
will boast performances from rising stars to veteran artists
including George Canyon, Matt Mays & El Torpedo,
Lennie Gallant, Mary Jane Lamond, The Novaks and
more. Four time nominee J.P. Cormier will be among the performers,
and will be joined on stage by two time nominee and blues
sensation Matt Andersen.
Cormier
is one of five nominees in the coveted Entertainer
of the Year category. It is the only award voted
on by the public. You can place your vote in one of three
ways:
- To vote by phone from anywhere in Canada, call
1-900-870-ECMA (3262). Each call costs $0.99
cents, and you can vote as often as you wish!
- To vote online from anywhere in the
world, visit www.ecma.ca.
Only one vote per computer will be tabulated.
- To text message your vote, text the
word VOTE to J.P. at 25426811. Each text
vote costs $0.10 cents, and you can vote as often as you

The
deadline for ECMA 2006 Entertainer of the Year voting is
Monday, February 27 at 4:00am Atlantic Time. The winner
will be announced during the ECMA Gala Awards Show.
