I
played this one as true to Doc as I possibly could. This
means there is very little in the way of ad lib in it, and
it is instead driven by extreme syncopation and economy
of movement. Doc was the master of this, and my main model
for that technique. You will also notice there is very little
dynamics in the delivery. Doc always went for steady and
true, rather than flash. There are subtle variations in
the tunes which you will see in the tab, keep your eyes
and ears open."
